Setting a price for a specific set of products

Hi, my client runs a bottle shop and one of their must have features is the ability for customers to choose X bottles from a limited pool of products eg:

 

• choose any 6 bottles from this range for $50

I've explored addressing this through product packages however quickly become messy when creating individual packages for a pool of 9 products.

 

Cart Rules also come close in that they provide easy product selection, yet won't work in my case because they only allow for setting a discount rather than a specific price for that selection.

 

Are there settings I'm not aware of that can help me achieve this type of pricing?
