rustyclockwork
Hi, all, I'm going to take the plunge and use 1.6+ for my website, fresh install. What I would like to know, is if I do either a left-hand column or the three column mod, if I will be able to easily update my Prestashop 1.6 to later releases? I'm going to be putting months and months of work into my site (as do many of you here as well), and I really want to get my mileage worth on this latest venture for my OsCommerce replacement. I had the latest version of 1.5 almost ready to go live (minus the lengthy content), then 1.6 came out and I felt that I should go that route. I appreciate any thoughts, Jason
selectshop.at
As you are changing themes files, simply clone the default theme, rename it to what you want and make all changes there. In this case you are independent of upgrades and your changes will also apply after an upgrade (inherit a version, this means PS 1.6.x). How to clone a theme: please use the search or better google search, there are several topics with this same question.

dioniz
And before you start, maybe you should wait for 1.6.0.7 which is coming very soon
