Add a custom image to display in homepage

Hi all,

    I want to add a custom image to index.tpl to display on my homepage alone. But it shows up "?" image in the homepage when I do so. I hope it is due to image settings for the homepage(Preference -> Image). I did this using html box module but it shows up the image in products pages as well which I don't need. Help me with this pls.

please show your code,

everythinf depends on it.

 

to display image only on homepage - define exceptions for modules under modules > modules tab in your back office.

search modules list (there where you added code) and click on edit button near html box module.

you can define there exceptions, select everything instead of "index" - code will appear only on "index" page then (index = homepage)
