santolla
My product image are different sizes. One is a vertical pitcture, and another is horizontal. My product images can't all be a set size. If I set the image sizes in the admin (it forces you a pixel hight and width), then when I upload a vertical image, I get whitespace in my picture. is there a way to force a width, but keep the image hight to an auto so in the font office, it almost looks like a pinterest style where the images aren't all the same sizes. Is this possible? Is there a module I can buy?
etienne31
Tried a "max-height" and "max-width" aattributes in the CSS ?
santolla
Still doesn't solve the problem with the cropping prestashop generates. So if I set my image size to 200x200, and upload a vertical image... that image will be cropped to fit the 200px high by adding whitespace to the sides of the image. etienne31
create new image with your image editor using the existing one or just edit it, set a square size and fill the blank space with transparencies, save it as png with transparencies, and replace your current image in prestashop with the new one. Also be sure that prestashop allow the usage of png with transparencies in the options.
santolla
PNGs are huge in file size for images. And still doesn't make the width 100% of the image size. I'm wondering if there is a hack or a module that will allow this? happy to pay for it.
