Hi Patron, thanks for the link.  I didn't want to change the ID, but the URL string to match my previous site.  Thus to minimize the negative SEO impact on the switch over.  Example:  change the prestashop version on /142-sample-product.html  to 122-sample-product.html.   The ID itself can remain, but the seo friendly url needs to match the previous string if possible.

I think I'm going to just 301 the products to the new seo friendly url's instead.  With my previous ecommerce shop (Hikashop) it created 2 or 3 URL's to the same product, so I had to create several .htaccess 301 entries to clean it up.  How is prestashop with this?  Does Prestashop create several URL's for each product?

Similar case with me. I got fashion website and just start using prestashop. My existing website was indexed by google and some page got PR. I would like to make all page url same as my previous website. I read the forum and find the clean url module. The clean url module can remove id from the url but all of my category page got error.

Will it possible remove category and sub category on the url?

Anyone can help me solve the page error problem?
