Changing Active tab in home page

hi

i have 2 questions:

1- in home page has 2 tabs: Popular and Best Sellers
default tab is on Popular. how do i change default active tab to Best Sellers?


2- I added some products in some times. some of products has "new" label in corner of its thum picture. I want to all of products have new label in all times always. what do I do?

1) go to modules > positions and search for displayHomeTab modules list. move your bestsellers module to the first position.

2) go to preferences > products and increase number of days to mark product as new option value

for some reason (and I did clear the site and browser cache) changing the "displayhometab" does change the position of the tab but does not change the active tab. Any idea why?
