Controller AdminModules missing or invalid

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am banging my head against the wall and need some help.  I have a fresh install of PS 1.5.6.2 (sorry guys, not upgrading to 1.6 yet until more modules become compatible) and get attached image.

I have checked all other tabs and everything looks fine.  I searched out on the forums for possible fixes, checked the ps_tabs table, only one instance of modules, then checked my controller/admin file and it wasn't there.  I uploaded a copy and now I get a blank page (token issue?).

Can any assist me with this please?  I know its not a hosting issue because I have another shop in another folder that works just fine.  This one has me a bit stumped.

Thanks in advance.

Continued...

turned on debugging, received this error code:

Fatal error: Class 'AdminModulesController' not found in /home/content/61/7197461/html/ASL/classes/controller/Controller.php on line 128

Tried to regenerate htaccess...didn't work.

well, this won't work for me...

everything was fine until I tried to upgrade to 1.6.0.9

the rollback would not work because on my godaddy linux hosting there is a directory called stats that you cannot write to so the rollback fails when it tries to restore that directory...

the file /controllers/admin/AdminModulesController.php would not re-upload from my local saved backup of the server - FTP reply was that it was MALWARE - though I went through the source code comparing to the original file and they were matches... I finally got this file uploaded by archiving it, uploading it and unarchiving it on the server via the GoDaddy File Manager utility...

I am still stuck at the

Fatal error: Class 'AdminModulesController' not found in .../classes/controller/Controller.php line 128 error  - will update this post when I am finished with GoDaddy support, but I do not believe they reboot servers for individual hosting linux or otherwise

this will be the last time I upgrade to the latest version - because new upgrades ALWAYS break things!

cannot believe my tried and true full site ftp restore did not work this time :(

--------------------------

Ok, have used the GoDaddy "New File Manager" to upload the controllers directory... after deleting the existing directory... the file upload worked fine this time... will update this post again, after a full restore of the site has been done to see if the problem is corrected.

Well.. no restart of the server... seems that it was a permissions problem all along... I deleted everything and completely reloaded the server from the FTP backup... and then went through the permissions settings as outlined in the install document... website is now working in every way as before, except the tiny mce appears to be inactive... I can deal with that problem until I find a solution
