dajawa
I am new to PS and this forum. Does anyone know what module is best for automatic bsckups, maybe even to a remote server?
El Patron
Personally, backup from hosting side is a 'better' option. This takes a lot of the 'guess work' on how to restore, i.e. no FTP PhpMyAdmin access etc. Check what your hosting plan default back up is. Investigate ease of restoration. Then if not satisfactory look for 3rd party solution like Presto-Changeo.
dajawa
sounds also like an idea, thank you. but could you please explain me why this would be the "better" option?
El Patron
until you look at capability of your hosting, you won't know how to compare to 'other' solutions. and I have a bit of experience with site back ups....this is why I prefer hosting solution. Please let us know which way you go and why.
El Patron
tip: if you look for module solution, make sure that if you back office is not accessible, that you can restore from the module back up without access to module from back office. This is probably why I prefer hosting level capture/restore.

These things seem easy to explain but it's difficult to communicate, probably if not possible to solve yourself is to get someone who can log into your back office and take a look. Best of luck and happy sales.
