Antakarana
Hi everybody, I have recently installed a local server over XAMP (on a virtual Win 8.1 machine) and I had migrated our online store to the local server correctly. Finally I have tried to update the local store from PS 1.5.6 to PS 1.6.0.6, however after some minutes it got stuck and gave me the following message: "Javascript error (parseJSON) detected for action "upgradeNow". Starting restoration..." I tried it several times with the same result.... So I load a snapshot of the first state (before the updating) and tried severeal things to fix it. Until now I have tried this: Increased load time parameter on php.ini file from the default 3 sec to 240 sec Tried to do the update from a local PS 1.6 zip file placed on admin\autoupgrade folder Tried opening in modules\autoupgrade\db\Db.php and uncommenting at 212 row (in my case they were already uncomment) (http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/271079-solved-javascript-error-parsejson-detected-for-action-upgradenow-starting-restoration/) Finnaly tried to do the 1-click update at the online store with the excactly same result THINGS TO TRY: I have read that somebody fixed a similar issue by using the latest 1-click update module, but in my case I'm using 1.3.12 module version witch already is the latest one (or isn't it?) I have read something about php.ini file allow_url_fopen but the post didn't explain exactly what to do. .....Would I be stuck in this PS version forever? Is there something else I could try? Is there any manual way to update the database from PS 1.5 to 1.6 without the need of 1-click update? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP Edited June 7, 2014 by Antakarana (see edit history)

Antakarana
It is not difficult to just perform a search.... http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS15/Manual+update Hi bellini, Thanks for the reply... I knew about that tutorial, but as far as I know there are some database changes at PS 1.6 which make it different from PS 1.5 database. Therefore this tutorial is not suitable for updating from PS 1.5.x to PS 1.6.x, but it is suitable for PS 1.5.x to 1.5.x updating. So my question is if there is a manual way to update the shop from PS 1.5 to 1.6 ? However, before doing that I would prefer to find a way to fix the 1-click module procedure... Thank you
Antakarana
When it get stuck I enter phpmyadmin and at the "status" tab I can see this: So I entered to phpmyadmin and when looking at the status tab I see this: Proceso Kill process consulta SQLSELECT * FROM `ps_guest` LIMIT 276400,200 So this is the process where it get always stuck... Can I do something to fix it? Thanks

Antakarana
Great! it works! Thanks bellini... After the update backoffice was accesible but I had a problem when loading the frontend because it said error 500... but it was solved by going to theme section and selectiong to load the default-boot theme a pair of times (the first time didn't worked for me). Thanks! Edited June 7, 2014 by Antakarana (see edit history)
