dbg
Hi I'm trying to change the large_default image size for the thickbox view on the product page (Prestashop 1.6x default theme). The preferences / images page for large_default image doesn't change the thickbox size? Is there another way to do it? Many thanks Edited June 4, 2014 by dbg (see edit history)
PSfever.com
Well, no there is not another way..are you logged as super-admin? If not, is the employee you're logged as able to change the image size? The next thing is, what have you done? Only changing the image format does not help. You then need to regenerate the images. Have you done that? dbg
Hi Yes - logged in as super-admin. I uploaded 800 x 800 pictures. I can change the home_default category and it resizes images on the homepage no problem. But if I change the large_default image size (to anything) it still remains at 779 x 779 px on the thickbox, then if 'enlarge' thickbox image is displayed at 800 x 800 px? Have regenerated thumbnails, cleared caches etc.................... Regards dbg

PSfever.com
Couldnt this be caused by some CSS code? THat sets the max resolution of file to XXX*YYYpx but all you see is something smaller?
dbg
Hi I still cant change the large_default size on the product page. Tried a few different things............. I'm wondering if a work around may be to define a new custom image size (e.g. new_large_default) in Preferences, Images and then change the code for the picture on the product page to use the new image size (new_large_default rather than large_default)? Does anyone know if its just a matter of replacing the image size in themes, default bootstrap, product.tpl or are there other places where the large_default image type needs to be changed? dbg
Hi I'm really sorry I have taken a while to reply to this topic, but I changed web hosts and I had some problems with the migration that have only just been resolved, so my site has been offline for a while. Many thanks to Oskar and Vekia for the suggestions. I've been looking looked at the problem again this morning. I'm still having this issue with the large_default picture on the product information page. The images in the PS 1.6x img/p folder are resized on thumbnail regeneration to the correct size, but are then shown at the wrong resolution. If I look at the page in a Firefox console there are lots of js errors (to do with image display?), but I have no idea how to fix.......... If anyone has any suggestions then I would be very grateful.
