Interesting product issue.

Hello all.

 

I am wondering if there is any way to do the following.

 

Lets say I add two of the exact same products to an order.  In the order_detail table, order table and invoice those two items will appear on the same line..  like this.

Basic fashion template that comes with 1.6

 

 

Item                                                   Qty                                          blah                           blah

OrangeWidget                                    2                                            fsdafadsf                   sdafds

 

 

What I WANT is this.

 

 

Item                                                   Qty                                          blah                             blah

OrangeWidget                                    1                                            sdfsadfsdf                   sdfsd 

OrangeWidget                                    1                                            afdssdfsfdd                 dsfsd

 

 

How can I do this?

It is not possible if both added products are the same. Copy the first product, and change the name (to OrangeWidget. or OrangeWidget_). You need to have two different products.

Now what if I attached a unique serial number to each product.  Would they break out like I want then?
