PartyTime
Hey There, I am using PS 1.4.3 and just started getting an error when adding products. Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction DELETE FROM ps_search_index WHERE id_product IN (16667,16668,16669,16672,16673,16674,16675,16676,16677) Any ideas?? I can't find the answer anywhere.....
Dh42
Ask your host to raise your php execution time and also your database time limit.
PartyTime
I am on a dedicated server I can control all that and I have raised the limits and even removed to try and still same error.
PartyTime
This all started after i did a "Re-Build entire index" under Preferences > Search to add a number of products to my search database. I currently have 7509 products.
Dh42
hmm, does it help to try to rebuild the index again? How long is it taking until it times out?
PartyTime
to rebuild it runs for about 5-8 minutes the more i try the less and less time it seems to take???
Dh42
Hmm, I don't know what to suggest, I haven't used that version in a long time. Do you have a backup of the ps_search_index table that you can compare to so you can see the data?
PartyTime
Yes, I have a full back up from a week ago I just didn't want to do that because we would lose some work. I know its old I really want to upgrade to the new PS but sadly they changed the database so much I can not update my inventory the way I need to using a csv file. Thanks for your help
Dh42
I would create a new database on the server and import your backup database to it and compare the two tables. What is the difference in the csv import that holds you back?
