Cart rule question

I have created a 10% discount code but I do not want customers to be able to apply this discount to any of my specials as they already have a discount applied to them.

 

Can this be done at all?

Back office > Price rules > Cart rules > Edit ( your discount code ) > Conditions

Forgive me if I am wrong but I don't think that will help. Please explain if I'm wrong.

 

Are you suggesting I add all products that do not have a discount in the price rule conditions.

 

It would be really handy to be able to just exclude specials in the price rule.

Yes, I thought of that when I posted.

 

I depends how many products you have, you can just drag your mouse down the Unselected block and add all the products in one go, then select the ones you do not want.

 

Or just use categories

Yeah I just tried adding all un-discounted products to the price rule and although it dose work if a customer tries to use the discount code for a specials product, they can still get a discount on a specials if they add an un-discounted product to the basket so the basket includes both discounted and un-discounted....lol hope you understand me.
