cosmin.ignea
Hello. I've deleted some products from my online store. Now, I have some 404 errors in webmaster tools. Is a good idea to redirect every 404 to parent category using 301? Does this thing affect SEO?
csschopper.com
HI, 301 redirect is always good for SEO. So you can go with this.

El Patron
note: in later version of ps, one can 'disable' a product and set where you want it to be automatically redirected. here is an example in 1.6 (but also in later versions of 1.5) When we disable a product, PrestaShop will give us options to redirect http://screencast.com/t/naDfmdkq this is awesome feature and much easier than placing and managing .htaccess redirects.
