I have found the problem: I was logged in with an account (even as SuperAdmin), which has another e-mail adress than the main e-mail Adress at my PayPal account :-)

After reinstalling the module I logged in with the right e-mail adress and got the 'new' API information...strange, but true :-)

anyone have a link to the old 3.7.0 version?

seriously how can this even happen that they release things that are broken like this... i don't really want to spend 30+ minutes to try to fix something that shouldn't be broken in the begining.....

Hello,

I also tried to install some older versions to get rid of this issue, but nothing helped. Please try to log in your Prestashop with the same e-mail adress (maybe you have to create a new account and give admin permissions to it) as your standard is in PayPal, than get the API passwords again and put them in your PS PayPal account settings...for me it works :-)

And be aware of to do NOTHING or even delete or enable PayPalApi module, they said in the top of my module site, when I updated to latest PayPal version, there seem to be some relations, I don't know...

Vivi

Thanx Vivi, tried that but didn't work at all for me... the quick checkout button in checkout is gone and can't get it back what ever i try, seem to work otherwise but... i really need the quick checkout in checkout...

hopefully they will fix this real soon...

sadly meanwhile i am making a paralell installation of magento.. starting to get a little bit tired of some of the bugs in prestashop :(

not very pleased at all with prestashop at the moment... if some of the bugs aren't corrected with prestashop 1.6.0.7 that should arrive in a few days i'll probally jump ship....

guys, be clear on what you are saying.

Is the paypal option missing from the payment selection page?   Or is the express checkout button missing from the shopping cart summary page?

I have installed v3.7.1 on PS 1.6.0.6 and I have the following

1) The express checkout button appears on each product page

2) The express checkout button appears on the bottom of the cart summary page (the page you see when you click checkout)

3) Paypal appears as a payment option on the payment selection page during checkout (aka step 5)

You need to ensure you have configured the module properly.

1) select your solution: Are you choosing "Website Payment Standard" or "Express checkout"?

2) Configuration Options: Express Checkout shortcut needs to be Yes

If you are upgrading from a previous version of the paypal module, then you likely should clear your browser cache and your smarty cache.  If you are using any sort of CDN or caching system, then you need to clear/flush those as well.

If it still does not work, then you can try to uninstall the module and re-install it.  If you still cannot get this to work on your store, then hire a professional

If you just installed it i bet it worked just fine..

http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PNM-2387?jql=text%20~%20%22paypal%203.7.1%22

there seem to have been a bug that probally is fixed on addons.prestashop.com without giving the software a new software revision..

so don't dismiss this as a user problem that need professional help when the software had issues...

but yes your checklist is good to check for problems..

if anyone still have problems and downloaded paypal 3.7.1 a fewdays ago.. test to uninstall plugin. download again from addons.prestashop.com and reinstall.. and you should get a working paypal module

I worked from the Paypal module v3.7.1 which was downloaded on 5/31/2014.  So don't be so quick to dismiss this as NOT user issue

The 2 forge bugs you listed both have end user resolutions, as the module folder permissions where invalid.  Nothing that Prestashop 'fixed'.  You can also check github to confirm that no changes were made as a result of those 2 bug reports.

Hello, I tried to clear cache and reinstall module. Nothing happened. Still no paypal payment option in checkout. So I uninstalled and download paypal module 3.7.1 from addons.prestashop.com. I filled all thay it needed correctly but I get error. For first secont there is "module installed correctly" and then

ERROR!

You need to complete the PayPal identification Information in step 3 otherwise you won’t be able to accept payment.

But I completed it. I am getting crazy from this module.

Do you have please some advise? Please
