Impossible to add the product to the cart

Hi,

I am facing the following problems for a shop built under Prestashop 1.5.6.0, with default theme.

In Front office :
- when I click on Add to cart button, the button fades and nothing is added to the cart
- after that when I refresh the current product page, I can see a window that displays the following :
Impossible to add the product to the cart.

errorThrown: ''
responseText:

In Back Office :
- when I click on the following tabs, I get a white freezed page :
Customers > Carts
Shipping > Carriers

- but other tabs work, such as :
Customers > Group
Customers > Threads
Customers > Contact
Customers > Gender
Shipping > Shipping

Cart module is set in Ajax

Both PayPal and PayPal Api module are not installed.

needs inspection. problem can be related to a lot of things.
