Meta description of my home page

When submit  my site www.salti.pt on google search, meta description of home page does not appear as it is set on index page.

 

Can anybody help me?

you have to wait some time to see new description, if you changed it recetly - you have to wait, changes that you made arent visible in google search results automatically.

Your meta description is shown when your webpage is highly optimized and you have submitted your site to search engines through your google web master tools.

it's not true what you said above .

description appears even then, when website is not "highly optimized" and even without submitting page.

 

in addition from google webmaster tools you can only submit page to google search engine, not to "search engines"
