Issue after upgrade to v1.6x via 1-click upgrade

Hello,

 

I am trying to fix a Prestashop install that has failed during an upgrade.  I have limited info on this as I was not doing the upgrade but basically, during the upgrade process via the 1-click module the computer crashed.  The upgrade was from a 1.5x to 1.6x.  I cannot access the front end or the back end.

 

Via the control panel of the host I can access the database and export a copy.

 

My question is this;

 

Is it possible to delete the current install of Prestashop and install a new and updated version and still use the database which I guess would be upgraded as part of the install?
