Multistore with particular domains

I have a main web site : http://sabata.cat and I have created a new store with multistore functionality  and is the URL http://sabata.cat/espardenya.

 

Moreover, I have the domain espardenya.cat , and I would like to change the domain sabata.cat/espardenya to espardenya.cat

 

Is possible to do this? I was searching info in the forum and i don't know how to do this.

Yes. You have to:

1- point your espardenya.cat domain to the same hosting and folder of the primary site.

2- set the second site's url to be  espardenya.cat instead of sabata.cat with the added virtual url (espardenya)

Now, I have the domain espardenya.cat redirected to sabata.cat/espardenya. Following your instructions, I have to change the redirection to sabata.cat (without /espardenya)

 

The second instruction is to configure the parameters of multistore.

Is the configuration correct in the attached  file?

Almost. The domain should point to the main prestashop folder, the one of the main store, where files are really located

If sabata.cat (the domain) points to the right folder, then yes

I have tested the configuration and the problem continues.As espardenya.cat is in production, we will work on shoes.cat, if is good for  you. I have performed the same configuration as you said for espardenya.cat. But the problem is not solved.

 

The problem is that when I am navigating in sabata.cat/shoes the url have to be shoes.cat. To do this, I 've modified the Multistore configuration and the domain redirection in my ISP as  you recommend.

 

 

Resume of configurations.

 

sabata.cat  -> Main Store    

shoes.cat   -> Secondary Store   sabata.cat/shoes --shoes is an empty folder

espardenya.cat ->Another Secondary Store

 

Domain redirection shoes.cat ->sabata.cat, instead of shoes.cat->sabata.cat/shoes.

 

But if I select sabata.cat in domain of sabata.cat/shoes ( at mlutistore configuration ),  error appears because can not extist another store with the same url. See attached files.

 

I hope that this explanations could be useful to solve the problem.

The domain shoes.cat points to sabata.cat without any subfolder neither redirection,and I have configured the multistore with your recommendations, but the result is not good with shoes.cat

 

I have attached my multistore configuration in order to solve the problem ASAP and to close the topic.

At this point, I'm clueless, the back office configuration seems to be okay, as far as I know. It might be the domain not being redirected, nothing else. No idea

My actual configuration is attached in this answer and is exactly what Alok says. Finally,I have redirected shoes.cat to sabata.cat/shoes but I really want to see in the URL shoes.cat. Any idea?

 

It seems an impossible task but I hope that we will resolve successfully.

I prefer do not delete the multistore shoes, because I have configured several modules and everything is working fine. Moreover, I lost a lot of time configuring the Menus, Footer and now, I prefer to solve this issue without any critical change.

 

Notice that with an URL domain redirection from shoes.cat to sabata.cat/shoes everything is running ok, but I need to differentiate both webpages, therefore I don't want tho see sabata.cat/shoes in this store, only shoes.cat

 

On the other hand, could be possible to solve the URL sabata.cat/shoes to shoes.cat , using the rewrite command at htaccess file?

 

If you want, I can send the code, with a private message, to analyze if is possible to modify the htaccess in order replace the domain sabata.cat/shoes to shoes.cat, without critical problem.
