prestamax
I have noticed that prestashop 1.6 doesn't have the themeinstaller module included anymore. Is this by purpose and if so .. why?

prestamax
Is your themeinstaller module from a fresh prestashop 1.6 installation or did you already have it installed from an earlier version of prestashop?

prestamax
Thanks for the info paulito. After some googling I found a post that says that the theme installator module isn't included in the official download anymore (already since prestashop 1.5) but need to be downloaded in prestashop addonshttp://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/193231-prestashop-151-themeinstaller-module-missing-from-arhive/?p=957345
Paulito
Hello again Sorry, I am confused. If theme installer is not included in the official install then why do I have it in PS 1.6.0.5 Does softaculous not use the official PS engine. Paul
prestamax
Hi Paul, I think the softaculous are nice people and thought the installer module would be useful in the package and added it. It is not included in the official download package. But it can be downloaded at prestashop addons. Personally I am with the softaculous people and think it would be useful to have it in the initial install.
