Categories on the homepage

Hi,

 

I'm looking for a module to show categories & sub categories (without images, just links) down the bottom before the footer on the homepage. I was searching in Google & also from I couldn't find a proper which supports v 1.6.

 

Appreciate any help / suggestions.

you're looking for free/paid version ?

you want to display only parent categories? or also subcategories?

how you want to display tree with for example 4-5 subcategories?

 

any example?

Preferably free  but paid also its available.

I've managed to hook the block category to the homepage. But not quite right unfortunately no one is actually supporting me to get it right.

This is my I think 5th or 6th questions 99% of topics I've solved my self or couldn't figure out. I feel there is lack of support in this forum unfortunately . Compared to other CMS's or Shopping carts. 

 

Now someone will come and try to argue/justify with me after seeing this that's all I get at the end.
