PayPal IPN configuration problem..

I've set up the required configuration for the PayPal module, but when I set up the IPN, I received the following email message from PayPal:

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) messages. Messages sent to the following URL(s) are not being received:

http://www.electronicsshopdirect.com/modules/paypal/validation.php

I set up the "return" IPN address as above, as PayPal didn't take the "localhost.8888" address as given in the Prestashop instructions.

What has gone wrong? Can anyone help please? Has anyone had the same problem??
