lemonpromotions
We have been running prestashop (currently version PrestaShop™ 1.5.6.1) happily for a couple of years here - http://www.golfspin.co.uk - I can't upgrade to the latest version yet as there is no payment module for the current version available from the merchant. The problem is that in the admin section there are only 3 categories showing: But if I search for a category by name then I can see all of the categories here: Is there anything that I can do to repair this without affecting the setup of the rest of the website ? The site is quite busy and any downtime would be a problem. I am thinking that my only solution is probably to stage another version of the site in a sub directory and attempt the repair there first. Any and all help appreciated. Edited May 21, 2014 by lemonpromotions (see edit history)
Dh42
Interesting. I fixed a shop with this problem this week. Are you familiar with using phpmyadmin?
lemonpromotions
I am not 100% confident with phpmyadmin - but I am willing to learn in this case as its causing a real problem. What would you suggest ?
Dh42
Can you screenshot the ps_categories table in your database. That is where the issue was in the shop I just fixed. I want to see if yours is the same.
lemonpromotions
Hi thanks for getting back to me, I hope this is what you needed to see.
Dh42
Ok.. Honestly I am afraid to tell you what to try as it could mess your shop up. But the first line, the root category does not need a parent, it should be set to 0, where it is set to 95. I would back the database and the table up before I made any changes. If you want to send me your cpanel and backoffice login through pm I can try to fix it for you.
