[solved] German Translation in default installation (module xlagtion) see PSCFV-12110

Dear community,

 

I have a default 1.6.0.6 installation with minor changes in default thema.

 

Issue:

====

When user selects e.g. german language, not all strings are properly translated into german. Please see attached screenshots from footer, add to cart, shopping cart summary.

 

Translations for these strings exist in my installation, but I have no idea why the are not displayed.

 

Any idea what could be wrong and how to fix it?

Hmm, the translations exist in the default-bootstrap theme, but file themes/default2/lang/de.php is not complete.

 

I will need to copy the language files from default-bootstrap theme.

I've had issue where back office-->loc-->xlations-->installed modules-->(selected theme)

 

rather then select 'theme' select core (no theme selected)

 

before doing this, go to themes/yourtheme/modules/(rename the module you were xlating to _the moudle)

 

then xlate module using (core (no theme selected)

I have updated German language and everything looks OK now, also modules are properly translated now.
