Antakarana
Hi every body! I have realized that there is a new function on paypal module. When accessing to the paypal module from BackOffice you can see this opion: I've looked for some info about it and I found that you can go to paypal development website, create a "new App" and then follow some steps to get a "button" and a paypal client ID and secret. However I don't know if that is useful or not? Has anybody tried it? thanks
flamedtofu
Hi Antakarana, I have tried to play with it but limited success, I signed up an application at https://developer.paypal.com, and entered in my test details, this brought the login button to the register an account page and checkout, oh exciting I thought. However clicking it I got an auth error, it then turned out I was a n00b and hadn't enabled the right features in the application, but after doing so I couldn't get the paypal login button to reappear. I even tried completely removing my paypal module and recompiling the theme and resetting both site and user cache. no no idea whats going on, it sounds like a cool feature though. Did you have any success yet?
Antakarana
Hi Flamedtofu, Thanks for your reply, however I didn't get any success. I think maybe it is some kind of "beta" feature or maybe it will work better if you have PS 1.6 installed. In my case I'm still working with prestashop 1.5 so I will give it a chance when I will update the whole site to the latest version... Anyway if anybody has a better solution we will be glad to hear it Edited June 1, 2014 by Antakarana (see edit history)
