[Solved] SMTP mail configuration failed in Prestashop v1.2.5

Hi everybody!

I search between heaven and hell to solve my desperate problem. I need to configure the smtp of the new prestashop. The php version makes a mistake because I cannot acces on the WHM configuration server to allow nobody's messages and the only solution is configure the smtp on my Back Office.

I tried all that I found and nothing. Also I change the Swiftmail tool from prestashop 1.1 to 1.2.5 (lol) but still not working.

Can I modify manually the php documents in swiftmail tools, to make a permanent configuration on smtp? I dontknow how!

Well, now I received the mail!!! n_n

What I did!!

1.- I download prestashop 1.1 and remplaced the \prestashop\tools\swift entirely.
2.- Remplace also \prestashop\classes\mail.php from 1.1 to 1.2.5
3.- configure smtp on back office - preferences - mail (now the password is saved correctly)
4.- back office - tools - generate, we generate the .htaccess file, and for me works!!!

Hey eKultur!

I have just upgraded to 1.5.2 (From 1.1 final [1.1.0.5]) too and had the problem with SMTP. Followed your advise and copied the old SWIFT over, then refreshed my SMTP login details and it worked first time. (I suppose if one did not want to refresh the login details then one could copy the old mail.php class to the new install).

BUG any one?

seems that "copy paste" kultur works hehe...
