Using different subdomains for different shops.

Hello all,

I have several subdomains (ex: someshop.com, someothershop.com, similiarbutnotthesameshop.com) under a main domain (mainShop.com). These all point to the same server. On this server I have prestashop 1.6 running with multiple stores. How can I point each of these urls to a specific shop, also keeping the url, not a simple redirect.

I've got multistore enabled and I've given each store its own url, but whenever I call these urls, it just redirects me to mainShop.com instead of the store. 

Is it even possible what I'm trying to do? Any help is appreciated.

edit: Apparently I had set the URLS correctly, except they didn't work if you added www. to them. I changed the urls of every store to include www. and added a rewrite rule in the htaccess to always add www..
