locate code in folder for editing the categories/products added

I am newbie in prestashop1.6, please help me..

 

i need to add data in my theme i.e categories,products,submenu etc.

one way is from themes-module editor on windows admin  which is taking long time. Is there anyway i can do it in script so that in one shot i can add similar data?

 

like submenu data,products,categories etc?

where to locate those files?

for what purposes you want to modify prestashop core?
