Incorrect currency showing problem

Hi,

 

Running PS1.5.6.2, Default theme. I have currency set to UK GBP £ and have never had any problems. As of about 1 hour a go, i checked the site and prices were displayed in $ with a conversion to correct amount.

 

Other than installing the google merchant centre module i have not made any changes to the site. When i go into localization>currency, Euro and Dollars are crossed out and GBP £ active. so should not be showing $'s.

 

As this is a live site i did a work around by changing the US Dollars currency to show a £ and changing the exchange rate to 1, this has dealt with the situation but 'top sellers' on right column is still showing $'s.

Can anybody offer any help on this, doesn't seem to make any sense.
