Moving padding and margins

Hi,

 

I am running PS 1.5.6.2. and Default Template.

 

I have the template working fine but just trying to reduce the margins / padding on some areas on the hone page.

 

See attached image and i have numbered the areas that i am trying to adapt.

 

1) Move the left, centre and right columns up closer to the top menu, approx. half of what it is now.

 

2) Expand the centre column left and right to create a smaller gap between the centre column and the left and right columns, again by approx. half.

 

3) Move the home page text up closer to the image slider by about half

 

4) Move the featured products up closer to the home page text.

 

I am sure this is quite simple but just not sure how to implement it.

 

An help would be appreciated.
