How to save customized theme?

Hi everyone, I've changed the default-bootstrap theme a lot. and I'd like to save my customized version under another name and in another directory so it won't get overwritten when I update Prestashop. How can this be done?

just log in to your FTP service, go to /themes/ directory and change name of the directory.

for example, change it from default-bootstrap with default-mytheme

then in back office under preferences > themes use this new theme.
