Virtual Product Download Link Email not sent when the order is completed

Hi,

 

My customers are unable to get the Virtual Product Download link through email. I can see there is a separate email that is sent when a virtual product is purchased. Customers when ordering get emails with the confirmation of payment and invoice but don't receive email which has actual download link of the purchased product. I sell virtual products. Can anybody tell me what exactly is wrong with the system? I am using PS 1.5.6.2. There is a solution of this problem for earlier versions, but no help is available for current version.
