EileenQ
Hi There can anyone help. Managed to upgrade using the 1-click upgrade after much kicking and fighting ! However there are several problems. The home page images are not in a grid but displayed one per line The compare button is missing The customer assurance module will not work it says its incompatible with the version The header module is missing The add to cart button is massively long Apart from that all the other info seems to have come over. Would appreciate any help anyone can give to put these things right. Many Thanks Eileen
NemoPS
Hi! First off, you can get rid of the reinsurance module, it's not been carried over and it would display weirdly anyway. Now, can you show us the live site so we can address the issues directly? It might be worth downloading a fresh 1.6 package, grabbing the default template and re-uploading it. Of course, some modules might need to be swapped
EileenQ
Hi There Thank you for taking the time to look. I have upgraded to 1.5.6. because thats what my client wanted. I have reinstalled the reinsurance module and that works now - thanks. I also reinstalled the homefeatured module and that now works. This sorted out the grid and the add to cart buttons By the way I also reinstalled the .tpl files in the corresponding directories. I changed the file permissions on the images directories then moved and regenerated Sorted the Header - that was me just being a plonker! Still to sort our though I still cant compare products because its not showing on the shop Although I have all the product images showing - all the images for prestashop are showing as ? thats all the icons used for the menu headers and also when you log in the background is all ???? Any thoughts ?? Thanks everyone much appreciated
EileenQ
OK an update I deleted and recreated the .htaccess file this has now left me with just one outstanding error :-) The images on the back office menu bar apart from the one for catalogue are not showing (just a square box) and there is a ? on any comment boxes shown on the pages. The text is still there but there is a large ? in the background. Onwards and upwards.......
NemoPS
Check if your site is referencing to the correct domain/folder in seo&urls in the back office
EileenQ
thanks I will check that - however I have just moved it too its final location and whilst the front looks fine I cannot get into the back office Any ideas - when you put the domain url and the /admin instead of giving me the admin login screen I get 56admin/index.php? controller=AdminLogin&token=9c4ea9ae09421f86fdab6419ca6ba55d&redirect=AdminHome it works fine in its old location many thanks. EileenQ
Further to the above - when I type in the url to login I can only see a white page = no form. If I look at the source page half the file is missing (when compared with a shop that works) and it seems to be the link to the form. Any idea anyone - would much appreciate some help. Front Office looks fine !
NemoPS
Have you enabled error reporting again? What is the exact name of the admin folder? 56admin? The link seems fine to me
