V-5
I am using Prestashop 1.5.4.1 with default module 'Mail Alert 3.2.8'. When ever there is an order placed, there is no email being sent to the customer or to the merchant. I have setup the configuration under Advanced Parameters > E-mail. I am using Godaddy.com smtp settings. When I do the 'Send an email test' I receive the test email successfully. Please help as it is really hard/frustrating to login and keep checking if there is any orders or not. My Prestashop site URL: www.veelson5er.com Thanks for helping in advance. In parallel i managed to find how to look at the hooks of a module by doing the first step option mentioned by you. I did find that 'New Order' has the "Mail Alert v3.2" module under it. It looks exactly like the screenshot you shared above.
El Patron
ok, are you using the shop email of the domain name? i.e. [email protected] many times when 'the from' address is not the same as shop domain, you emails will be marked as spam, they may not make it out of the mail queue. I am attaching the mail alerts module (2.8) from original 1.5.4 release. Though I don't have much confidence that will help. Make sure to uninstall/delete the one installed now. mailalerts.zip

V-5
OK. I just re-verified the SMTP settings and found that I had changed the SMTP port to 3535. When checked with GoDaddy.com SMTP settings, they recommended to use port 80 as primart port or 3535 as secondary. So I reverted back the port to 80 and the emails started working. Thanks to all the members who have replied and helped me. God bless you all always...

That was exactly what was missing for my orders emails to be fired . i don't know why it wasn't there even if I didn't play for the hooks.
