gekhua
I have prestashop installed on a local server. Everything works up fine. I then setup prestashop on a hosted server. The nightmare began. In product page, whenever I click the Add Product button, it would redirect to login page. After i logged in, I would be at the product page again. So in the end, i can't even add a single product. Then i realise i can't do anything at all because EVERY action i do, it would redirect me to the login page. I googled the web and there were 2 suggested solution - both involved tweaking the cookie.php by (1) reducing expire tim eto 3600 and (2) comment out an && statement. But both won't work. I need help. Else I would have to seek alternative solution.
NemoPS
Are you using subdomains? Prestashop has a couple of issues with those, if multistore is not enabled
gekhua
Yes, i am using subdomian. The problem is : now I couldn't even enable the multi-store option. Whenever I click the enable multi-store button, i would be directed to the login page with no action taken.
NemoPS
Open chrome dev tools, resources, cookies. Clear all your cookies for now, see if it helps. There might be a tol level domain cookie conflicting with subdomain ones!
gekhua
Thanks for the prompt help. Unfortunately after clearing the cookies, it still stays the same. There's nothing i can do in prestashop. i can't even add a single product. It is frustrating .. after all the time i have spent on my localhost and now i can't set it up on a real hosted server at justhost.com.
NemoPS
And.... what if it's just the server? Can you try another software like wordpress?
gekhua
We have tried other PHP apps - moodle on a subdomain and it's working fine. Anyway i have installed a fresh copy of Prestashop on the root directory BUT I am still facing the same problem! I can't add even a single product or category! Is it then something wrong with justhost.com? I have no choice but to switch to opencart which can be installed direct from justhost.com
gekhua
And i need to add that the "Keep me logged in" option on the login page is hopeless. It just simply doesn't work.
NemoPS
It might really be the hosting at this point, it would be worth having a developer inspect the cookie class if you want to stick to prestashop. Just as a reference, can you link your site? Are these kind of issues happening in the front office as well?
gekhua
Front office is fine. The URL here: http://www.interactience.com http://www.interactience.com/admin6277 Actually the above are testing sites too. Do you need the username and password to access the backoffice? Is it safe to post here?
