swpierce
Hey guys. I installed Prestashop to start learning it and develop a site for a new retailer. Everything works great except for the back office pages. It doesn't matter what I click on in back office, it takes 25-30 seconds for the page to load. I turned on PS_DEBUG_PROFILING and saw a lot of messages about missing xml files in the config directory. Sure enough, that directory only contains an index.php file - nothing else. I found this post that would lead me to believe when Prestashop installed, it didn't get all the xml files or database tables it needed. There are a couple posts that talk about access to api.prestashop.com and addons.prestashop.com - I can nslookup and get the correct IPs for those machines but I can't ping them (no firewall issues - I can ping any other site). Any ideas? The back office is completely unusable at this speed. Thanks!

Installation takes only a few minutes, so that shouldn't be a problem. Edited May 6, 2014 by musicmaster (see edit history)
