catalina
Hello everybody, I am a beginner in Prestashop, which I found very easy to use up until yesterday, when I changed the categories for my shop. I tried to define correctly the parent category and afterwards the child ones, but since then, I can't no longer see my shop. Anybody out ther who could indicate me step by step what is to be done? I'm afraid I might loose all my data and I have worked for over 2 weeks to update my products..... Thank you in advance!

vekia
no, it's not okay. you have to deal with prestashop filesystem, so log in to your FTP account and: open: config/defines.inc.php file find this line: define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', false); change to look like this: define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', true);

NemoPS
You have to connect via ftp, reach the main folder, then config/, download defines.inc.php, open it with a text editor and set it as vekia mentioned above, then reupload the file. Or, you can have your developer do it
