missing images after upgrading 1.5 > 1.6

Hi

 

Does anyone know what i should do if my images are missing after upgrading from 1.5.4 to 1.6.x

 

All seems to have worked out fine, just few mentions

 

Of course i have to work on the template, but that was to be expected

 

The major issue i have at this moment is that i do not see any images except for the store logo, product lables (new, special etc.)

go to preferences > images and make sure that you have there all imagetypes that are used by your theme.

what theme you use? what images you've got defined under preferences > images ?

I have similar problem regarding new theme installed. After new theme was installed there were some problems but we sorted it out. 

Than I created new categories and listed new products. All the products listed after the new theme was installed don't show default picture. When you click on prodct all pictures show up but it's still annoying.

My admin tryed everything, nothing worked. Theme developer sayed he must first update his theme to work with new presta versions as we also couldn't update presta at all.

Does anyone have any ideas what could the problem be?

have you tried to regenerate thumbnails for home-default imagetype ?

I wouldn't know that as my admin was doing all this, but I guess he did. Will ask him anyway. 

What if he has done this? What then?

I think important is to use the function that is above regenerating pictures to use new place to store images

 

than regenerate images

 

i also cleared cache>smarty> compile and cache>smarty>cache (leave index.php files in both)

I asked him and he did that. Any other ideas?

 

Also when presta was upadated to newer version 1.6.1 something pics were working but as my theme was not compatible with new presta version we went back to 1.5.4.1 and that's when pics stopped working.
