activex
Hi, perhaps a dumb question, but could anyone please tell me how the forecast module on the admin-panel is supposed to work? I was under the impression that this was a place where you could see a forecast of your potential income based on the current sales and traffic. However nothing is showing. I can input my own numbers, which is OK for doing a budget I guess. But I thought this was supposed to be auto generated based on the current numbers. So, is my forecast not working properly or have I just misunderstood it's intended behavior? I'm using 1.6.0.6 by the way :-) Thanks :-) Edited May 2, 2014 by activex (see edit history)

bside2234
Same problem with mine. Reset the Dashboard Goals Module in the Modules area in the back office. That made mine work. You don't have to input data. Once I reset mine, there was results there automatically.
markjl
Hello Is it possible to manually enter a sales forecast ? Thanks
bside2234
Not that I know of. Seems the other 3 fields/tabs/options can be user assigned but not sales.
markjl
I'm talking about the sales goal that it has set seemingly arbitrarily Where could I update that amount? Thanks
bside2234
I know what you are talking about. I figured out how you change it. You can't do it directly. The "Sales" column will be updated according to the goals set in the other columns (for instance, for a 1000 visitors with a 2% conversion rate and a $10 average cart, you would get 1000*(2/100)*10 = $200). markjl
Why can't I set my own goals?
bside2234
You can set your own goals for Traffic, Conversion, and Average Cart Value. The Sales is automatically calculated based of the values you choose for these three. That's how it works.
