nickmummy
I have been figuring this out for a few dyas.. I am using Prestashop 1.6.0.6.I tried configuring "PayPal USA, Canada" module, using PayPal Payments Standard (v1.3.3 - by PrestaShop). I have set the necessary API settings in prestashop already, However, my account is a "personal premier account", and not a "business" account with Paypal.. SO I just gave a "dummy" name to the "PayPal Business Account:" - does it matter? Due to my account with paypal is a personal account, can I still user paypal to receive money? I have enabed "paypal payments standard" and "express checkout" but both showing error: (see below) Internal Server ErrorThe server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. What other things I need to change? Would anyone like to share? I am from Singapore and I have changed my shopping site to SIngapore currency, my paypal account has SGD too.. However, my paypal account has links to other shopping cart too.. Does that matters? Any advise would be grateful, thanks !!
Reginald
By accident, I got this error yesterday. My mistake was not using the right email. Email for PayPal API is slightly different. *Yes, I know you might know this but just thought of sharing! Good luck!

kavlito
I too have a PayPal Premier account (not a Business Account). I used my Premier account email address in the PayPal Business Account: field. As far as getting your API credentials, don't try and use the feature: within the PrestaShop PayPal Module Configuration. Neither of those links would allow me to log in to my PayPal account. Instead, I went to PayPal.com and logged in. Clicked on Profile and My Selling Tools, clicked on the Update link to the right of API access, and clicked on Option 2. - Grant API Signature. This gave me the credentials I needed and entered into PrestaShop. Immediately, PayPal was up and running.
