PayPal API - UK - Web Payments Pro Confusion!

Hey All,

Apologies if this has been posted/answered before (especially more than once!).

I am having an absolute headache with PayPal API an Prestashop

I am using 1.2.5, and i want to directly accept payments from credit cards online on my prestashop website, no third party sites at all (unless they are in an iframe on my prestashop site).

I have read lots of posts about this online and have just ended up more confused than ever.

If someone smarter than me can put me out of my misery i will be eternaly grateful:

1. Can you integrate PayPal into Prestashop in any way to accept payments via card (in the UK) directly (without going to a Paypal page)?

2. Is there an alternative to Paypal to acheive the wanted result...(and a module)?

I just want to congratulate and thank all those who have helped develop prestashop and its modules for all their hard work... its an amazing piece of coding and one of the best looking front ends i have seen in any shop.

helo friend,
when you use paypal pro module, you can direct payment via credit card. And paypal pro not redirect to paypal page. I developed the web site using prestashop cms. site name is www.mychapter34.com. please go to this site and check its payment.
this site payment methods module develop by my own.
you can use this module very easily.
and it very easy add your site.
firstly you have to create paypal pro account in paypal site.
then they give to you api_username and api_password and api_signature.
if you get my module you can use easily.
because when you get it you have to copy and paste username and password and api signature to paypal pro module.

now paypal pro module develop only me.

Thanks for your reply, i went to that website in the link and signed up but it said that no payment module has been installed...

Am i correct in thinking that you have created your own payment module to have direct payments with paypal?
Or have you used the inbuilt one in prestashop (PayPal API)?
Is the paypal pro module you speak of different from Paypal or paypal API?

if you went the my site you can see payment method credit card. i developed it paypal pro.
so anyone cant see this payment method is paypal payment method.
and paypal and paypal pro are difference.
when you use paypal customer has to go paypal site.
but if you use paypal pro customer dont go to the paypal site.
And i used paypal pro method for my site.
I mentioned in this paypemt as a credit payment.
because when customer loged to the my site they pay by credit card.
so you can see payment methos credi card.
i used paypal pro methos for credit card payment.
