Mogul
I'm having trouble getting GA to track my transactions. Can somebody please tell me whether checkoutconfirm.php is the final page a customer will see once they've bought an item from my store? Mogul
And is this the "reciept page" where I put code to track actual transactions?
Trip
Goto your backoffice/admin area ... under modules/stats you find the so called Google Analytics Module where you can configure all the necessary codes.Regards, trip
Mogul
Thanks trip! I've altered my funnel now to the correct urls so i'm closer to the gold than I was. But there's nowhere in the so called Google Analytics module to enter addional code to certain pages. It's one specific page, output as order/step3.html i guess, that needs transaction code on it. Trip
Halloha, without going too much into detail, I had bad experience in manually adding the conversion code into some of the files because it broke the checkout process caused by conflicting javascript. Maybe nowadays this is no more but changing the "core"-files might bring you into trouble with the next update and let's say in free months you maybe have no idea what you changed and what was original so I would first clarify why you don't have the Google Analytics Module. Please look in your shopdir/modules folder if there is a folder called ganalytics and if it is not empty. If it not there download a new copy of prestashop and paste the folder from there to your installation. If it is there, check if the folders have the right permissions and try to find out what is wrong. If the Google-Analytics Module is not working maybe other thinks are not working neither.Regards, trip
