Offer - Can anyone help or suggest someone?

Recommended Posts

Sorry for the blast approach to this post, I am probably the least experienced in web design. I wanted to know if anyone would help me upgrade my website from 1.4 to 1.6 as having read all the manual upgrade blogs and posts, i get lost and glaze eyed when the talk about ftp backups etc.

I had a site originally on 1.3, which was upgraded by my friend to 1.4. This has worked fine for about 2 years, but want to jump into the new world of 1.6 for a lot of reasons. My friend has customised some parts of the website and things like carts and customer data I cant afford to loose. As when my friend upgraded last time, I had to manually import all the customers details in by hand including all the products again.

This is a big and some might say risky ASK, but without wanting to break something, I would rather ask for help then loose 2 years of work.

I am currently using a mac so cannot use store manager or back office tools like this which I have used in the past.

Any help is better than none.

Many thanks

Hi, I am not sure exactly. I know that the theme on original shop is velvet sky, but my new shop is based on the bootstrap released on v1.6. I have found some more themes but, its the moving and editing CSS and HTML that I am way over my head with.

Any suggestions of how much ot would cost to build or tweak the website if I was to pay someone to do it again?

Back office is 85% there so most of the info should be there for anyone to see so they know what needs tweaking.

Cheers, amazing people on here helping.

My new site doesnt need to have many customizations necessarily. I like the theme of the bootstrap but also would like it to be a bit more like this http://www.templatemonster.com/prestashop-themes/48795.html

I like that setup of the prestashop version but like the colours and background for the knives theme. Things like the quick view on products and things that will make it easier for customers are the things that I am looking for.
