productscategory module how to show subcategories

Hi

I have installed productcategory module, to show some related product (from same category) on product pages.

 

But I got this problem!

 

I inserted all the products under 2 categories "Home" category (so I can get featured products on the homepage)

and the specific category of the product (a subactegory of the home).

 

So I got all the products like this:

Home < Subcategory1 < Product1

 

Home < Subcategory2 < Product2

 

 

This module works fine, but it consider all the products similar (because they are all under Home category)

 

 

How can I modify this module to show only similar product from the same subcategories and not consider the products in the Home?

Not fully sure anymore, but I believe the productscategory module looks at the default category of a product.

So try to change the default category and see if that works.

(Edit product -. Associations Tab -> Default category)

I tried only with one product and it works!!

 

So I think I need to edit the entire catalogue .
