Customer Follow-up Module CRON & URL not working

After installing and configuring the [Customer Follow-up Module] we added the required CRON configuration. But all we get a a CRON error reply. We also tried to HTTP the URL as its says in the modules configuration...

 

Define the settings and place the following URL in the crontab, or call it manually on a daily basis:
http://gear.aaasound.net/presta/modules/followup/cron.php?secure_key=QXB1O7HA88K7WE5A

 

Nether configuration works for us!

I had this issue also with a client, seems to be problem with the module if you change domainname or move prestashop to another hosting.

e.g. www.mydomain1.com > www.mydomain2.com seems to break the module

 

Instead, try using the server ip address and path as example below:

http://111.222.333.444/~username/modules/followup/cron.php?secure_key=QXB1O7HA88K7WE5A

 

This will fix your problem.
