Prestashop 1.6 last step nothing happens

I try to install Prestashop 1.6, but at the last step nothing happen. The progress bar isn't appearing.

I reuploaded all files, but the same problem occures.

 

I hope someone can help me.

Try with chrome and during the installation process bring up the developer console (f12). Take a screenshot of it

I checked permissions all folders are set to 755 and data 644. I changed the folder permission of /js to 775 but it didn't help.

Weird! it looks like jquery can't be accessed. Try with 777 and 666 for files at this point!

I changed it, but still the same issues.

Yes I'm having the same problem.

   I tried removing all the .htaccess.....with this it get me further thru the installation but still failed at some point.

 

the logfile shows this :

 

/js/.htaccess: RewriteEngine not allowed here, referer: http://localhost/xampp/xxxx/install/index.php

 

/.htaccess: SetEnv not allowed here, referer: http://localhost/xampp/xxxx/install/index.php

OK I have got my problem solved.

 

It works with my earlier prestashop version 1.4.4  but not for the 1.6.....

    my working directory is localhost/xampp/prestashop            (c:\xampp\htdocs\xampp\prestashop)

 

I have move the prestashop directory to localhost/prestashop   (c:\xampp\htdocs\prestashop)

and install again and everything is ok.
