Carriers Not Available During Checkout

Version 1.6.0.6 - Attempting every combination of ways to get carriers to show up during 5 step or single step checkout fails.  Zones, localization, warehouse, etc. all setup per instructions and following a variety of forum posts - no avail.  Template is 1.6 compatible.  Clean install, not an upgrade.  This clearly feels like a bug.  Previous version still running 1.5.4 has very touchy issue in same place, but after about 6 hours of adjusting, finally could get a carrier to appear - but FREE Shipping issue still issue there.

 

Also issue with Free Shipping, even after you change translation to $0.00, but I'll save that for a different thread.

it took me ages to solve when I had this issue.

For me it was to do with the carriers weight parameters.

So my products all have weights my carriers have prices for those weight ranges so;

prod a 1kg

prod 2 0.5kg

prod 3 0.75kg

so 3.25 kg total

My carrier had ranges;

0.1-0.99kg=-£2.8

1kg-1.99kg=£5.20 etc etc

what was happening was that I hadn't got the weight ranges perfect for the carrier i.e

0-1kg

1kg-2kg

2kg-3kg

it didn't like it so had to work it out like above.

Also make sure that you have activated the zone/zones that you are delivering to!

Tested PS 1.6.0.6. I have no problem with Free Shipping.

Under BO > Shipping > Carrier, make sure

- the particular carriers status is enable

- shipping location(s) is/are ticked (All Africa Asia Central America/Antilla Europe Europe (non-EU) North America Oceania South America)

- group access Visitor/Guest/Customer are ticked

Hey Guys,

 

Tried all of the above, still no solution. 

 

There has to be something weird going on. When I preview the shipping rates in the cart of the product detail page (using Presto-Changeo Fedex Module) I get the carriers but when it goes through checkout, it doesn't display any. Thought at first it was something with module but I created a carrier not using that module and that will still not display. 

 

FYI: I only have the North America Zone, Canada and its states enabled. Don't know if that would cause any problems.

Hey Guys,

 

Through all the re-checking and re-checking of settings and configurations I finally found my problem. I was using advanced stock management and I hadn't selected any carriers for my warehouses  :blush: .

 

Selected the carriers I wanted and problem is fixed.

Hi guys 

similar problem 

  • I have the relevant carrier selected in the products page. 
  • I have the shipping costs updated in 'carriers' -  'shipping locations and costs'  If I select 'ALL' then the carrier is included in the customers shipping options. I do not want ALL the countries selected. How do I include a second or third carrier without including ALL countries?

I have in 'zones' France, Belgique, Luxembourg

 

In the carriers tab I added mondial relay and ticked 'France, Belgique, Luxembourg'  in shipping carriers 

CARRIER NAME MONDIAL RELAY

This carrier is not free and the delivery announced is: 3-6.

The shipping cost is calculated according to the weight and the tax rule No tax will be applied.

This carrier can deliver orders from 0.500000 kg to 30.000000 kg. If the order is out of range, the behavior is to disable carrier.

This carrier will be proposed for those delivery zones
  • France, Belgique, Luxembourg
And it will be proposed for those client groups
  • Visitor
  • Guest
  • Customer
  • Wholesale
  •  
  • so I don't quiet know why the mondial relay doesn't show to customers

Hi guys, 

I have figured out how to add a second carrier to the customers' shipping choice. 

You can not have unselected zones if you want 2 or more carriers. 

 

In Zones, fill in all the prices for the different weights. 

then in the 'carriers' tab go to the second tab 'carriers and shipping' you have to fill in all the fields and mark the checkbox 'ALL'

Only then will the second carrier show as an option in the cart.

This is not an ideal solution. I would be good if you could just checkmark the relevant zones and not have to checkmark 'all'

Hi guys, just a question, I have set up second shipping company. Activated it and after finishing deal I see (like customer) that there are two shipping companies. BUT there is not any choice to choose one of them. I just want to tell and both are for free shipping so I don´t set up any other details like weight etc. - could this be a problem?

I still have this weird situation about Fedex plugin activation and action and i will share all my experience until resolve this,  my history is: i was working on  both scenarios: with free version  and the changeo  version (this last sucks and the support sucks i just paid for nothing and never no one from support  resolve or noting, guys never buy it! i just lost my money. ).

 

This is when i was installing and testing free fedex plugin i discovered the "strange" situation when those plugins create on automathic carries fedex options, but none one can display on the frontend checkout shipping step. after hours i discovered the solutions : just deleting every one and recreating every one that was all fixed, and voila all set wright.

 

But the FEDEX live-conneccion still giving to me  "error 1000.." on backadmin config, apparently the Fedex credential are wrong acording to the error messages, and when i  try to recreate fedex-custom apis , i try again and noting, same error 1000.  some one can gave me a light?

I resolved this darkness situation aboutFedex alive connection, and now I have my own Fedex Plugin Connection, alive cost prices online, and label box printer; you can buy on my website www.mojomexico.com.mx, all my plugins include full installation and sincronization on Prestashop store.
