Modules - For discounts?

Does anyone know of a free module or how to configure the normal module, so that only a specific brand or manufacturer can be discounted? Wanted to put a special offer on where customers get a discount for buying a selected brand, without having to individually marking down each item?

Unfortunately, I am not aware of such a functionality. You mean you want to discount all products by the same manufacturer all at once, right?

 

What about setting up categories with manufacturer names and using category discounts?

Is there a way of setting the category's so that the names do not appear on the header's, sort of a ghost category? If this is possible then I could assign the products all to a fake catergory and discount like that?

create discount with condiiton:

- product selection, then select manufacturers

 

 

and with action (the most important part!) "apply discount to": Selected products

I havent got this module installed i dont think. I am running my live shop on version 1.4.0.17. The only way on applying disounts on this is through the payment module - vouchers or buy selecting the item in catalogue and applying an individual discount ot every single item.

I want to upgrade this shop but I have the minimum of knowledge with regards to web design and am not sure about copying files to a spare demo site so that i can test it out before upgrading. My demo has the new prestashop installed but would take months for me to import all the items and pictures accross.
