H3li0
Hello All, I am using PS 1.5.3.1 and my site is almost ready. I have this strange behavior with my email though. From inside BackOffice (BO), when I send a "test mail", I receive it normally in my WebMail Page. (in Control Panel from Host Provider) But when I send e-mail from the contact form on the page, this message appears only in the BO, and not in my WebMail. I am using SMTP mail. Not PHPMail(). I wonder if anyone could help me with this problem. Thanks in advance. Helio Edited May 9, 2014 by H3li0 (see edit history)
NemoPS
Have you checked the spam folder? Also, can you try with other addresses?

H3li0
you use the same "shop email address" as email that you defined in SMTP connection? Hi ! Yes. The same e-mail address is used in SMTP config and my WebMail. It is not correct ? Helio

H3li0
what you mean by webmail ? when i asked about"shop email address" i mean prestashop configuration. not any other external service. Ok I think I messed up. Now the whole thing is not working. I do not get it. My Host Provider allows me to create e-mails. The one I created was: [email protected] <-- This e-mail is read via WebMail page: http://webmail.<myshop>.com In the BackOffice, there are two e-mails created: (Clients --> Contacts) [email protected] [email protected] When the client enters on Contact Form, these two e-mails appear on a Combo Box so they can choose who to send it. All I need is to receive e-mails from the Contact Form ([email protected]) on WebMail page because I do not keep BackOffice open all the time. (at least not to read e-mails) Is there a way to do it ? Can you guys guide me to do it step by step ? Thanks in Advance Helio
vekia
"shop email address" under preferences > store contacts it must be the same as your email address that you use on SMTP configuration page. all other things are not related to this problem. vekia
okay so it's at least weird have you got an access to outgoing emails log?
H3li0
okay so it's at least weird have you got an access to outgoing emails log? Ok I got it. Maybe I was not clear when trying to explain the problem. English is not my first language. Sorry. Anyway, after giving support team a ring, I have discovered that in Prestashop all email sent via Contact Form (within the site) are sent to BackOffice only. There is no way to re-direct it to my WebMail, which is exact same e-mail address. If a client sends an e-mail from outside my site via Yahoo, HotMail, GMail, etc., then I would get the messages in my WebMail page. That is just the way Prestashop works. (As I have been told) All my e-mail configuration is working fine. If there is a kind of module/script to change this PS behavior, please let me know. Once again, thanks for the attention. vekia
prestashop sends an email to mail defined under preferences > store contacts. you said that you've got there the same email as you've got in SMTP definition this is weird, because if there is your SMTP email you should receive it also on your web mail client. Yes, they are the same e-mail address. I got it in BackOffice but not in web mail client. (Unless sent externally) Weird. No solution? If not, how do I close this topic ?
