papagino
Hey guys, is there a way to create a free home delivery zone depending on the city you are from? I have a shop where I would like to offer free home delivery for customers that are from my city. I know you can create zones and specify carriers for different zones, but can this be done for cities? In other words, when a customer would register to my site and input my city in the field "City" in the registration address, the module would detect that it is a match and offer the option for "Free Home Delivery" for that particular customer. Does such a module exist? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Dan
Dh42
With localized shipping from Presto-Changeo you can do by zip code. The issue you will run into with cities are things like if someone misspells it, or if they use a sub city of a major city and things like that. papagino
Hi Dh42, I have checked the module you mentioned before, but the problem is that I am in Canada and we use postal code here and not ZIP code, so it would probably not work. Postal Code are not all numbers, but are LNL NLN (L = letters, N = numbers) Also, a particular city may use several Postal Code. Your module seems to be able to use range of zip code, but how would it work with postal code?
Dh42
As far as the last time i asked, you cannot do a range with non number postal codes. You would need to enter them all by had and assign shipping rates to them. You might shoot them a message and ask them about it, it was a couple years ago since the last time I asked.
